the second pic is when i first got her. mods i did. made nazi flag added stowage on sides, put extra track near the drivers port and added some kill marks on the 88. little by little she is coming along.
You should give it a dark brown wash and light brown specks, I have even used kitty litter that I ground up for rocks and dirt when stuck on with elmers and a clear matte varnish. Making your own wash is a little tricky so if you have ever heard of gamesworkshop and citadel (make warhammer) they make wash and ink sets that look sexy. I will try to get some of my 15mm scale tanks I did this to up here sometime. Also flock and more pebbles of some sort in elmers, I paint it with a old brush into the track bottoms and wipe away the excess then seal with matte varnish again. Do not do it with the part of the track that touches the table it will just rub off and make a mess.
Yae I agree with sauer and i dont do that much. A dark wash will make a world of differenc. The grey HL uses is far too light . The Germans early tank grey witch is what you want was called Black Grey for a reason. It was very dark. Man it has beena long time since mine looked like that. I think Iv'e painted it 3 or 4 times. Lots of fun. Nice work so far moriarity, keep it up.
